US Law Firm Bolsters Financial Services Advisory Practice

Law firm Grant Thornton has appointed Simon Moss as managing director of its financial services advisory practice.
Moss, who will be based in New York, will be responsible for driving financial technology innovation, including the associated alliance and acquisition strategy, the firm has said in a statement.
Prior to Grant Thornton, he founded and led Pneuron Corporation. He also served as chief executive of Mantas Corporation. Moss also launched and managed financial services technology-related practices at IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
“Simon has built a successful career addressing fintech challenges in forward-thinking, disruptive ways with market-defining solutions,” said Nigel Smith, national managing principal of Grant Thornton’s financial services advisory practice. “His addition reflects our commitment as a firm to help clients address the competitive challenges and opportunities in robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, distributed analytics, blockchain and more.
